Winter Anticyclones (High Pressure)

 

We are now going to look at the weather of the United Kingdom.  The following image shows the weather on the 28th January 1998.  It was obtained from the Electronic Telegraph web site.  The first image shows the wind speed, cloud cover, and temperatures in the UK on the 28th January 1998. 

 

 

From what we have already talked about, we know that high pressure brings warm and calm weather.
