ENVIRONMENTAL INDICATORS

ECN provides data on a range on environmental indicators:

	Climate Change Indicators DEFRA have commissioned a pilot study to develop a set of climate change indicators.   ECN data can be used as an aid to interpret national trends in these indicators.
	Water Quality Indicators The data from ECN's freshwater sites have been used to develop a set of water quality indicators that can be linked to the possible drivers of environmental change and the impacts they can have on water resources.
	Biodiversity Indicators - Climate Change Impacts This project was funded by DEFRA to produce a climate change indicator to measure changes in abundance in climate sensitive species.  A single, composite indicator has been developed, based on a substantial core of common butterfly, moth and carabid species.
	Indicators of Climate Change in the UK (ICCUK) ECN hosts the ICCUK report which aimed to identify a set of indicators which could be used to monitor how the climate of the United Kingdom is changing and how it may be affecting aspects of our lives and natural environment.
