This is the second volume of protocols used in the United Kingdom Environmental Change Network, providing protocols for the wide range of standardised core measurements, covering physical, chemical and biological variables, made at each of the Network's freshwater sites.  It also details the systems used in ECN for data recording, database management and quality assurance.  A volume describing the protocols for ECN's terrestrial sites has also been published.
