ECN will be featured at the Your Planet, Your Future careers fair in Edinburgh this week. Jan Dick from UKCEH Edinburgh will have a stall at the event where she'll highlight the range of environmental monitoring and research in the Cairngorms, including, of course, our long-term monitoring. Jan will present ECN alongside activities relating to a range of international projects.
Jan will focus on ECN's use of wildlife cameras through a fun camera trap game, inviting visitors to see if they can outperform the AI image monitoring system we use to identify animals caught on camera.Our camera trap monitoring detects animals such as deer, red grouse and squirrels, giving us valuable insights into animal populations and their behaviours.
The event, organised by Dynamic Earth, will provide a lively opportunity for engagement with schools.
